With the booming Brazilian economy, the local O&M's experience a strong increase in demands for automobiles and transport vehicles.
The Brazilian Government, thru INMETRO, establishes a procedure to certify overseas auto parts suppliers, with the intention to assure quality of components and also protect local parts suppliers.
All overseas suppliers to the Brazilian O & M’s, that have no local -in country- presence, must assign/contract a legal representative (LR) and this LR, is the entity to request validation testing of components and issuance of quality certificates (by INMETRO accredited agencies). These quality certificates are the basis upon which the INMETRO registration can be obtained.
LR is the legal entity that will represent overseas manufacturers in all legal and financial responsibility aspects in Brazil, hold quality certificates, as well as, the INMETRO registration, will re-certify components annually and assist principal in all related matters.
